Step-by-Step Instructions for Air Fryer Bread
  1. In a small bowl, combine 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and ½ cup of warm water. Let sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add ¼ cup of warm milk, 2 tablespoons of oil, 2 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter, and ½ teaspoon of salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until combined.
  3. Gradually stir in 2 cups of all-purpose flour until a soft dough ball forms. Keep it slightly tacky.
  4. Grease a large bowl and place the dough inside. Cover with a towel and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour.
  5. Punch down the dough gently, knead for 2-3 minutes, then shape into a loaf. Place in a greased bread pan and let it rise for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 165°C (330°F) for about 3-5 minutes.
  7. Brush the top with the egg wash made from 1 egg yolk mixed with 1 tablespoon of water. Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
