Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Active Dry Yeast can substitute with instant yeast
  • 1 cup Warm Water between 100°F to 110°F
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar feeds the yeast
  • 1/2 cup Milk adds moisture
  • 1/2 cup Plain Greek Yogurt or regular yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons Oil use melted butter or ghee for flavor
  • 3 cloves Minced Garlic adjust to taste
  • 3 cups Flour can use gluten-free flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt enhances flavor
Topping Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup Garlic Butter mixed with minced garlic and parsley

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, mix the active dry yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, milk, yogurt, oil, and minced garlic. Stir in the yeast mixture until a ball of dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 3 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  4. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 10 pieces. Roll each piece into a disc about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 370°F for about 5 minutes.
  6. Place the naan in the air fryer in a single layer. Cook for 6 minutes, flip, and cook for another 3 minutes.
  7. Immediately brush with garlic butter after cooking.
