Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse the spinach thoroughly under cold water, then drain well.
  3. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add spinach gradually, stirring until wilted. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, lemon zest, lemon juice, and nutmeg. Allow to simmer until slightly thickened.
  6. Add grated Parmesan cheese to the spinach mixture, stirring until melted.
  7. Create wells in the spinach mixture and crack an egg into each well, sprinkle with Parmesan.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until egg whites are set.
  9. Let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
