Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring enough water to a rolling boil. Add your rinsed and cut green beans and cook for about 7-10 minutes until tender but still crisp. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Stir in minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle the sautéed mixture with salt, pepper, and flour, stir well, and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Gradually pour in vegetable broth and nut milk while whisking constantly until the sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.
  6. Gently fold in one cup of crispy fried onions and the cooked green beans. Stir until well-coated.
  7. Pour into a prepared baking dish, top with remaining crispy fried onions, and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
