Preparation Steps
  1. Start with chilled, firm mashed potatoes to ensure they hold their shape.
  2. In a bowl, combine the potatoes, mozzarella or cheddar, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Take about 2 tablespoons of the mixture, roll it into a ball, and repeat to form 12 to 14 balls.
  4. Roll each potato ball in breadcrumbs until evenly coated, pressing lightly to adhere.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes, lightly spraying the basket with cooking oil.
  6. Place the coated balls into the air fryer basket and cook for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
