Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Boil 4 cups of filtered water in a large pot over medium-high heat until it starts steaming.
  2. Remove the pot from heat and stir in 1 cup of dried hibiscus flowers. Let steep for 10 minutes.
  3. Position a fine mesh sieve over a pitcher and strain the hibiscus tea to remove flowers.
  4. While warm, stir in 1 cup of sugar until fully dissolved.
  5. Mix in 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice and stir to combine.
  6. Pour in 2 cups of cold water to dilute the tea to your desired strength.
  7. Blend the ripe mango until smooth and stir into the hibiscus tea.
  8. Chill the tea in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
  9. Serve over ice cubes, garnished with fresh mint leaves if desired.
