Ingredients
  

For the Margarita
  • 2 oz Tequila preferably silver or blanco
  • 2.5 oz Pomegranate juice
  • 2 oz Orange juice can substitute with tangerine juice
  • 0.5 oz Orange liqueur Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 1 tbsp Honey preferably local
  • 0.25 tsp Vanilla extract optional
  • 0.125 tsp Ground cinnamon freshly ground is better
  • 0.125 tsp Ground ginger fresh ginger can be used
  • 1 pinch Cayenne pepper optional
For the Garnish
  • 1 sprig Fresh rosemary or substitute with a cinnamon stick
For Top-Off (Optional)
  • Ginger beer for a fizzy finish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prepare a festive rim by running a slice of tangerine or orange around the rim of a rocks glass, then dip it in a mixture of coarse sugar, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and cayenne pepper. Fill the glass with ice.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine pomegranate juice, orange juice, tequila, orange liqueur, honey, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ground ginger. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper if desired.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into the prepared rocks glass over fresh ice.
  5. Top off with a splash of ginger beer if desired, and garnish with fresh rosemary or a cinnamon stick.
