Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Gradually combine with wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and half of the Halloween sprinkles.
  6. Form dough balls, flatten, place an Oreo in the center, and wrap the dough around it.
  7. Bake for 9-10 minutes until edges are set but centers look slightly underbaked.
  8. Immediately sprinkle extra chocolate chips and remaining sprinkles on top after baking.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
