  • 1 cup Pop Rocks No substitutes here!
  • 1 cup White Chocolate Melting Chips Dark chocolate is a delicious alternative

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan with non-stick spray.
  2. Prepare the vanilla cake batter according to the box instructions, adding orange extract.
  3. Pour the batter into the greased cake pan and spread evenly.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let it cool.
  5. Crumble the cooled cake into fine pieces and let cool completely.
  6. Mix the vanilla frosting with the cooled cake crumbs until fully combined.
  7. Roll the mixture into balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and create a small indentation in each.
  8. Fill each indentation with Pop Rocks and reform the balls to enclose them.
  9. Melt the white chocolate chips in short bursts in the microwave until smooth.
  10. Dip each ball in melted white chocolate, let excess drip off, and sprinkle with extra Pop Rocks.
  11. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes until the chocolate has set. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
