- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan with non-stick spray.
- Prepare the vanilla cake batter according to the box instructions, adding orange extract.
- Pour the batter into the greased cake pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let it cool.
- Crumble the cooled cake into fine pieces and let cool completely.
- Mix the vanilla frosting with the cooled cake crumbs until fully combined.
- Roll the mixture into balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and create a small indentation in each.
- Fill each indentation with Pop Rocks and reform the balls to enclose them.
- Melt the white chocolate chips in short bursts in the microwave until smooth.
- Dip each ball in melted white chocolate, let excess drip off, and sprinkle with extra Pop Rocks.
- Refrigerate for about 30 minutes until the chocolate has set. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
