Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Grate the garlic, ginger, and horseradish root, and thinly slice the scallion.
  2. In a large pot, pour in 8 cups of water and warm it over medium heat.
  3. Stir in the miso, grated garlic, ginger, scallion, horseradish, and ground turmeric until the miso dissolves.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes without boiling.
  5. Add oil and vinegar, season with salt, and adjust flavors.
  6. Serve hot in mugs or bowls.
