Prepare Strawberry Syrup
- In a small saucepan, combine sliced fresh strawberries, sugar, and water. Over medium heat, cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Strain and cool.
Brew Tea
- In a separate saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat, add black tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags and allow to cool.
Mix Ingredients
- In a pitcher, combine the cooled strawberry syrup, brewed tea, 2 cups of fresh water, and lemon juice. Stir gently, taste, and adjust sweetness or acidity.
Serve
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the strawberry iced tea mixture over. Garnish with mint leaves and sliced strawberries.
