Preparation Steps
  1. Combine one package of banana cream instant pudding with the crushed pineapple in a large mixing bowl. Whisk thoroughly until thickened, about 2–3 minutes.
  2. Gently fold in the diced strawberries, sliced bananas, miniature marshmallows, and maraschino cherries if using until evenly distributed, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the chopped nuts and chocolate chips, folding carefully to maintain the fluffy texture, about 1–2 minutes.
  4. Fold in half of the whipped topping gently, then repeat with the remaining whipped topping until well integrated, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to meld.
  6. After chilling, gently stir the salad and serve it in bowls or cups. Garnish with extra toppings as desired.
