Step-by-Step Instructions for Shirred Eggs
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a 6-ounce ramekin with unsalted butter, covering all sides.
  3. Pour a generous splash of heavy cream into the greased ramekin.
  4. Gently crack the large eggs on top of the cream.
  5. Sprinkle salt and freshly ground black pepper over the eggs, then add chives and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Place the ramekin on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes.
