Step-by-Step Instructions for Toffee Pudding Cake
  1. Chop about 1 cup of dates into small pieces and soak them in boiling water for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Cream together 1/2 cup of softened butter and 1 cup of brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in 2 eggs, one at a time.
  3. Gradually mix in 1 cup of flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder until just combined.
