  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
For the Garlic Yogurt Sauce
  • 1 cup Plain Yogurt or coconut yogurt for a dairy-free alternative
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, fresh parsley, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly without overmixing.
  2. Wet your hands and form the chicken mixture into 10 to 12 oval-shaped patties. Arrange them on a platter.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes, lightly brushing the surface with olive oil.
  4. Place the shaped kofta onto the preheated grill. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through, checking for an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
  5. Prepare the garlic yogurt sauce by mixing plain yogurt, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl until smooth and creamy.
  6. Remove the kofta from the grill, let rest for a couple of minutes, and serve with garlic yogurt sauce on the side.
