Prep and Cook
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather your ingredients and a large oven-safe skillet.
  2. Heat olive oil in the skillet over medium-high heat. Season salmon with salt and pepper, skin-side up. Sear for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown, flip, and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Lower the heat, add more oil if needed, and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in chicken broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, sun-dried tomatoes, and lemon juice. Stir until well combined and cheese has melted.
  6. Return the salmon to the skillet, spoon sauce over the top, and ensure it's well-coated.
  7. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Garnish with freshly chopped basil and serve immediately.
