Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of sweetened condensed milk and ⅓ cup of softened unsalted butter. Blend on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2–3 minutes.
- Gradually add 4 cups of powdered sugar, mixing at low speed, then increase to medium until fully combined and the dough is stiff.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract using a spatula to ensure even distribution of flavor.
- Optional: Divide the dough for coloring, add a few drops of food coloring to each section, and blend until desired color is achieved.
- Pinch off small pieces of dough and roll them into balls, or roll out and use cookie cutters for festive shapes.
- Allow the shaped mints to set at room temperature for about 1 hour until firm.
- Once set, transfer to an airtight container for storage; mints will stay fresh for up to a week.

Notes
For firmer dough, chill for about 30 minutes. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
