Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Gradually add 4 cups of powdered sugar, mixing at low speed, then increase to medium until fully combined and the dough is stiff.
  3. Stir in 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract using a spatula to ensure even distribution of flavor.
  4. Optional: Divide the dough for coloring, add a few drops of food coloring to each section, and blend until desired color is achieved.
  5. Pinch off small pieces of dough and roll them into balls, or roll out and use cookie cutters for festive shapes.
  6. Allow the shaped mints to set at room temperature for about 1 hour until firm.
  7. Once set, transfer to an airtight container for storage; mints will stay fresh for up to a week.
