- Begin by softening the butter in a mixing bowl. Add crushed garlic and minced dill. Mix until well combined and smooth.
- Slice the ribeye steak into thin strips, about 1/4-inch thick.
- Heat oil in a skillet over high heat. Season steak strips with salt and sear for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- In the same skillet, add sliced yellow onion and sauté for 5-7 minutes until caramelized.
- Slice the baguette lengthwise and spread garlic herb butter on both sides. Fill with steak, onions, and top with Havarti cheese.
- Preheat broiler to high. Broil the assembled sandwich for about 2 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Remove the sandwich, let sit, slice into portions and serve warm.
