Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by softening the butter in a mixing bowl. Add crushed garlic and minced dill. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  2. Slice the ribeye steak into thin strips, about 1/4-inch thick.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over high heat. Season steak strips with salt and sear for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In the same skillet, add sliced yellow onion and sauté for 5-7 minutes until caramelized.
  5. Slice the baguette lengthwise and spread garlic herb butter on both sides. Fill with steak, onions, and top with Havarti cheese.
  6. Preheat broiler to high. Broil the assembled sandwich for about 2 minutes until cheese is melted.
  7. Remove the sandwich, let sit, slice into portions and serve warm.
