- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine your ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, blend together the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and spinach if using.
- On a large piece of parchment paper, spread the meat mixture into a rectangle roughly 1-inch thick, create a well in the center and spread the cheese filling over the surface.
- Roll the meat mixture from one end to encase the filling, using the parchment paper to help shape it.
- Place the seam-side down on a lightly greased baking sheet and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- During the last 10 minutes of baking, pour warm marinara sauce over the top.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
