Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine your ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, blend together the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and spinach if using.
  4. On a large piece of parchment paper, spread the meat mixture into a rectangle roughly 1-inch thick, create a well in the center and spread the cheese filling over the surface.
  5. Roll the meat mixture from one end to encase the filling, using the parchment paper to help shape it.
  6. Place the seam-side down on a lightly greased baking sheet and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. During the last 10 minutes of baking, pour warm marinara sauce over the top.
  8. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
