  • 1-1.5 cups Gruyere Cheese Offers a nutty and creamy profile; try Parmesan, white cheddar, or Fontina.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Adds richness and helps caramelize the leeks; olive oil can be an alternative.

Equipment

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. Begin by cleaning and slicing 1-2 leeks and chopping about 8 ounces of mushrooms. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat, add the sliced leeks, and sauté for about 10 minutes until caramelized.
  3. Add the chopped mushrooms to the skillet and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until tender and browned.
  4. Stir in the cooked pasta, then add 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 to 1.5 cups of grated Gruyere cheese. Stir over medium heat for about 5 minutes until cheese melts.
  5. Remove from heat and season generously with salt and black pepper before serving.
