  • 1/2 cup Apple Juice Or apple-flavored soda.
  • 1/2 cup Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice Lemon juice can be used as a substitute.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Apple Iced Tea
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 4 cups of water, 4 tablespoons of loose black tea leaves, 10 fresh mint leaves, and 1/4 cup of sugar. Heat over medium-high heat and bring to a rolling boil.
  2. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer gently for 1 minute.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and carefully strain the tea into a measuring cup or pitcher using a fine mesh strainer. Allow the strained tea to cool for about 10 minutes.
  4. While the tea is cooling, fill two tall glasses with ice cubes to the brim and add 4 to 5 fresh mint leaves into each glass.
  5. Pour 1/2 cup of apple juice and 1/2 cup of the brewed tea into each glass over the ice.
  6. Stir in 1 teaspoon of freshly squeezed lime juice per glass and garnish with thin apple slices and lemon wedges.
