Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a saucepan and sauté minced garlic, chopped onion, and diced celery for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour for 1 minute to make a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in 1 cup of seafood stock and 1 cup of heavy cream, cooking until smooth and slightly thickened.
  5. Season with 2 teaspoons of Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper; fold in 1 pound of shrimp and 1/2 cup of lobster meat, cooking until shrimp turn pink.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  7. Cut in 1/2 cup of cold butter until crumbly; stir in 1 cup of cheddar cheese and add 3/4 cup of milk to form biscuit dough.
  8. Spoon the filling into a baking dish and drop the biscuit dough over the top.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the biscuit topping is golden brown.
  10. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
