Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to a sizzling 500°F (260°C). If using a pizza stone, place it inside to heat for at least 30 minutes.
- On a floured surface, gently shape the pizza dough into a circle, with a diameter of 10-12 inches.
- Spread a quarter cup of marinara or pizza sauce evenly across the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle three-quarters of a cup of mozzarella cheese over the sauced dough. Add pepperoni slices and dollops of ricotta cheese.
- Slide the pizza onto the hot pizza stone or baking tray, and let it bake for 7-10 minutes until the cheese is bubbling.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and drizzle about two teaspoons of hot honey over it. Optionally, sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes and garnish before serving.
